‘You could cause a lot of damage at an event like this, if you wanted to, find yourself alone in a hallway with someone, a moment of madness, wouldn't even need a weapon, a pen or a key and you've changed the world, changed it a lot fucking more than any of your protests could. I hope you’ve been vetted’
HOLD is a theatrical experiment. The work invites its audience to piece together the broken moments from twenty years of a young woman’s life, who is herself entirely absent from the stage. This is a piece of theatre that offers only one half of the conversation.
The play received a short research and development period in April 2018 at the Truman Brewery and the Bunker Theatre, which culminated in a sharing for an invited audience.
Bunker/Truman R&D Cast:
Lucy Bromilow, Tommy Burgess, Lucy Petrie, Jamie Seymour, Maanuv Thiara and Niamh Watson.
